Education&Work Experience
I obtained my bachelor's degree fromWuhan University, master's degree fromthe University of Science and Technology of China, and Ph.D fromthe Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Between 2002 and 2006 I was a postdoc atCarnegie Mellon Universityandthe University of California at Berkeley. I was also a Chandra Fellow (nowEinstein Fellow) at UC Berkeley. I was a principal research scientist atthe University of California at Irvine, and I joined the faculty ofXiamen Universityin 2011.

Courses
I teach three courses every year. In fall semester I teach one graduate course ("Observational Astrophysics"), and in spring semester I teach one undergraduate course ("Observational Astrophysics"), and one graduate course ("Galaxy and Cosmology").
